There has been a long time since I made any type of game dev update, so here’s one!
I’ve added a lot of new animations (only a few in the post though). There are also enough graphics to construct a level but I want to add more stuff to make things more lush. A lot of time went into making the parallax graphics, clouds are a pain and are really dull to make but it looks nice. I still need to fine tune the graphics a bit but I have a nice overlook now. I will probably be posting graphical updates more than programming stuff because graphics are usually quicker.
On the programming side, we’ve gotten a lot done. I fear Jonas might go bald from all the hair ripping but we’re moving forward in a nice pace. The simplest of things can be so complicated, he says.
Things that will take time to get working are the ladders and the checkpoints within new layouts. Oh, and the feared cat… don’t mention the cat to Jonas, he might loose his mind..
Anyway, we almost have all the basic mechanics done. We just need to figure out how to fix the weird bugs with the ladder and how to make the checkpoint system to work. After that it’s fine tuning and we’re moving on to the more complex mechanics.
We don’t want to give away too much before the alpha stage so these tidbits are what you’ll get for now. We will get a website and a youtube page once we’re deeper into devland.
